Low poly is a technique used by 3D rendering engines which is basically a low-number polygon mesh. While this technique was invented for faster rendering of computer graphics it has also recently caught on with Web designers which tend to use a lot of abstract low-poly images as backgrounds for their designs.
Doing this usually relies on a 3D rendering software like 3dsMax or Cinema3D, but using the Trianglify library this can now be achieved dynamically in a browser as well.
Trianglify works by taking some input parameters and generating a low-poly mesh in SVG format.
Developers can control the mesh's color scheme, cell size, noise ratio, bleed factor, and cell padding.
The rendered image can be saved locally or used as a CSS background.
